598 Brightwaters residents voted Tuesday in an at-large race for two open trustee seats on the Village Board, according to village officials.
In a close race, Tom Zepf (365 votes) and John Valdini (324 votes) of the Greater Good Party ticket bested Greg Proce (315), who ran on the Integrity Party ticket.
Zepf is an attorney and youth sports coach. Valdini is a former village trustee who had served from 2009-2011. Proce is a longtime resident and a member of the Brightwaters Planning Board.
The trustees serve two-year terms.
