The Historical Society of Islip Hamlet recently played host to its fifth annual garden walk.

The Secret Gardens of Islip attracted more than 150 attendees to admire the gardens and learn tips and tricks from their owners.

The tour featured five homes (photos below).

One garden had an all-white flower theme, according to a Historical Society press release.

Hickory trees, May apple, tulips, Japanese red maple, English lavender, azaleas, iris, ferns, hostas, and hydrangea were all on display at the five homes.

One home backed into lower Winganhauppauge Lake, and at the end of a walk through a tree-lined trail there was a small waterfall.

The Seatuck Environmental Association grounds provided a respite and where attendees were entertained by the Carols for Causes singers, also pictured.
