The NFL season gets underway Thursday night with the Kansas City Chiefs in New England — and Finley’s in Bay Shore is marking the occasion to help those in Texas.

T.J. Finley’s Public House will be hosting a football opening night fundraiser for Hurricane Harvey-ravaged communities in eastern Texas.

“We were lucky to escape Sandy with minimal damage so we feel we need to do our part to help those effected,” said Mike McElwee, who co-owns T.J. Finley’s with Drew Dvorkin and Zach DiGirolomo.

The night will run from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at 42 East Main Street, and during that time all proceeds from the sale of Austin Eastciders products will go to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

The local representative for Austin Eastciders is a former Finley’s employee.
