One of the island’s best-known singer/songwriters, Cassandra House, will be headed to Bay Shore next month.

Cassandra House has been a featured musician across Long Island and is continuing to branch out within the Northeast and surrounding areas.

She’s shared stages with Amy Helm and the Handsome Strangers, Colin Hay, Rusted Root & Todd Scheaffer of Railroad Earth.

And now she’s heading to the YMCA Boulton Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, June 1, for a CD release party with performances at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Cassandra House is best known for her unique, soulful and earnest approach to her music, according to a Boulton Center announcement.

“Her material has drawn attention of promoters across Long Island,” the release reads.

Her newest full length album release, The Roam, was helped along by acclaimed Grammy winning producer/engineer Ben Wish.

The Roam highlighted by the singles “Giving up the Gun” and “Little Flower.”

Tickets are $20. The pre-show acoustic performance at 6 p.m. costs $10.
