Most kids dream of performing on stage; Farmingville native Michele Rizzo-Berg forever wanted to run her own music venue.
She’s been doing just that for over a decade now in Bay Shore — at the YMCA Boulton Center for the Performing Arts. She’s also worked at other known local venues such as Nassau Coliseum and the Westbury Music Fair.
Listen to Rizzo-Berg reminisce about Long Island and talk about the current state of music with The495 Podcast hosts Mike White of GreaterBayShore and Tom Wunk of The Float Place.
In 2018, the team at Greater Long Island Media Group launched its first-ever podcast series along with Tom Wunk, founder of The Float Place in Patchogue and Deer Park.
The495 Podcast focuses on the personal stories of local people — from bartenders to businesspeople — with plenty of insights and wisecracks along the way.
GreaterLI publisher Michael White co-hosts weekly with Tom Wunk, with the company’s content director, Nicholas Esposito, serving as sound engineer.
