A 75-year-old woman from Bay Shore has gone missing.

A Silver Alert was issued Wednesday as police and relatives hope to locate Lucia Godoy, who was last seen at her home on Thompson Drive at 10 p.m. on Sept. 3.

And time is of the essence. Godoy is diabetic. She also suffers from schizophrenia, according to Suffolk police.

Godoy is described as 5 feet tall and about 100 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing multicolored leggings, blue shoes, a loose fitting shirt and a hat with a tiger on it.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.

As a reminder, Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
