One of Bay Shore’s longest living residents has died, GreaterBayShore learned.

Born in the summer of 1914, Mamie Holmes died at 104 years old and six months.

“We extend our deepest sympathy,” wrote Donna Periconi of the Bay Shore Chamber of Commerce in an email.

To celebrate her life,  her children will be holding services on Wed., Feb. 27, at the First Baptist Church of Bay Shore. The wake will begin at 10 a.m. followed by service at 11:30 a.m.
