Islip Town officials, local clergy and first responders will be gathering at Veterans Memorial Park outside Islip Town Hall Wednesday for a remembrance of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror victims.

The services start at 5 p.m. in the park, at 655 Main Street in Islip.

There’s also a ceremony that the West Islip Chamber of Commerce is hosting at 8 a.m. on Dorthe’s Island, at the Higbie-Udall merge — with a breakfast to follow at Farrell’s of Brooklyn.

The services in Islip Hamlet will be led by Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter and other members of the Town Board, with representation from the local volunteer fire departments, the Suffolk police and ambulance corps.

The ceremony will pay tribute to all those whose lives were lost on 9/11, according to the town, including the 90 men and women from the Town of Islip.
