Meet adoptable puppies while enjoying craft beer and food.
The Long Island-based nonprofit— which is dedicated to saving abused, abandoned, and neglected dogs across the country— will be hosting the event at Bay Shore’s Destination Unknown Beer Company (Dubco) on Sunday, Oct. 6.
The festivities, which run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., will also feature a puppy kissing booth, raffle baskets, and 50/50 raffle.
“We’ve been lucky enough to receive a ton of raffles from local businesses,” said Jennifer Andrews, of Ollie’s Angels Animal Rescue.
Some of the prizes include gift certificates to local eateries, The Lion King on Broadway tickets, fishing poles, hockey jerseys, and designer sunglasses.
Andrews, whose a Bay Shore resident, said the day will benefit a great cause.
“Every dog we rescue is placed in a loving foster home and eventually matched with the perfect forever family,” she told GreaterBayShore.
And in case you thought the day may affect football Sunday, the New York Jets and New York Giants games will be playing at the brewery’s big-screen projector.
This is a children-friendly and leashed dog-friendly event.
The tickets are $25 for adults over 21 years old. The ticket includes one beer and food. It is $20 for people under 21, and kids under 5 are free.
Dubco is located at 1 South Chicago Avenue in Bay Shore.
