All five of Lessing’s Hospitality Group‘s Main Street restaurants are now offering a 25% discount to all healthcare workers and workers in uniform (police, fire, EMT) during the coronavirus outbreak.
For the uninitiated, the Lessing’s Main Street Restaurant Group includes The Post Office in Babylon, Southside Bar & Restaurant in Bay Shore, Maxwell’s in Islip, Library Café in Farmingdale and Finnegan’s in Huntington.
The restaurants — founded by Long Islanders — announced the deal on Tuesday, March 24, which is national The Great American Takeout Day.
“Supporting Great American Takeout Day will not only feed your family a safe, delicious meal, it will support your local restaurants, nourish your community and support your favorite server,” said Mark Lessing, vice president of restaurants at the Lessing’s Hospitality Group.
During New York’s shutdown, all properties have offered delivery through Door Dash and takeout with curbside pickup.
“We are stronger together! Let’s all show our support of our favorite local spots and order takeout tonight,” said Jennifer Cantin, director of marketing, Lessing’s Hospitality Group.
