News 12 reporter Erin Colton visited downtown Bay Shore this week to learn all about Bay Shore’s popular virtual bar crawls.
The idea was born in early April when the owners of The Tap Room, Verde Kitchen & Cocktails and Coastal Kitchen & Daiquiri Bar were looking for ways to serve their patrons, all while trying to keep the doors open amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Without this it would be hard to keep the lights on,” Tap Room’s James Bonanno told News 12. “It’s extremely difficult even with the crawl, so without them, I don’t know how we’d be going.”
For $40 people sit, sip and snack from the three restaurants with live music over Facebook Live. It was a quick success and the restaurants began running these crawls every Saturday.
