Toast Coffeehouse in Bay Shore has reopened for “contactless” curbside takeout and delivery for the first time since the state’s coronavirus containment measures basically shut the place down.
All of Long Island’s Toast locations were closed in March, not long after the governor temporarily banned in-dining services at restaurants.
But now Toast, which opened in August 2018 at 9 South Park Avenue, in Bay Shore, will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursdays through Mondays.
“We’ve received tremendous support since the beginning here in Bay Shore and we’ve received even more support since the closure,” said the location’s co-owner, John Ceravino. “We are so happy to be open again and be back serving this great community.”
Chef and fellow co-owner Rob Matthews says he’s already cooking up some new specials to serve to Bay Shore area locals who’ve missed the always bustling Toast.
Most of the main menu will also be available for takeout or delivery.
“Happy to be back cooking again for this wonderful town,” Matthews said.
Toast’s Patchogue location opened earlier this month.
