Islip Hamlet registered some of the highest snowfall amount in Suffolk County following the nor’easter that blasted Long Island over the last 48 hours.
Local measurements saw an area of Islip seeing 15.6 inches late Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
Bay Shore saw about 13.4 inches.
The highest measurements in the county was in an area in East Northport with 18.1 inches. Other spots that saw big accumulation included Commack (15.9), Islip (15.6) and Mount Sinai (15).
The highest snowfall amounts in Nassau County were in Bellerose (16.6), Syosset (15.3) and Glenwood Landing (15.2).
