Seatuck is excited to be hosting the first Wild & Scenic Film Festival tour on Long Island! It will be held on Sunday, February 10 at the YMCA Boulton Center in Bay Shore from 12 to 4 p.m. Click here to purchase tickets.

Created in 2003 by California’s South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL), the Wild & Scenic Film Festival promotes grassroots environmental activism through art and film. Each year, SYRCL curates the best in environmental documentaries, shorts, and adventure films for their flagship festival in Nevada City, California. To share these incredible films with more people, they take the festival “On Tour,” partnering to produce nearly 250 events each year, each creating unique film festivals in their own communities and using the festival to raise fundsreach new contacts, and raise awareness of local issues.

Considered one of the nation’s premier environmental and adventure film festivals, this year’s films will combine stellar filmmaking, beautiful cinematography and first-rate storytelling to inform, inspire and ignite solutions and possibilities to restore the earth and human communities while creating a positive future for the next generation. Festival-goers can expect to see award winning films about nature, community activism, adventure and conservation, including many that relate to Seatuck’s work on Long Island (click here to see the festival trailer). We hope you’ll join us at the Boulton Center for a fun and inspiring afternoon!

Tickets for the festival are $25; student tickets are availalbe for $20. Click here to get your tickets today!
